BMW Concept Touring Coupe is expected to mass production

Recently, BMW brought a brand new concept safari-Concept Touring Coupe at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este exhibition. According to the latest news from foreign media, BMW may produce this model in a limited number of small batches. Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group's design director, said that if customers expressed enough interest in the model, a very small series of around 50 cars would be possible. BMW Concept Touring Coupe is considered to be the classic reappearance of BMW Z3 M Coupe, but the official said that its naming and design inspiration comes from the 1940 Mille Miglia endurance race champion BMW 328 Touring Coupe, and it is also a tribute to the BMW 02 series models in the 1970s .

If the BMW Concept Touring Coupe will indeed be produced in small batches, this is not the first time that BMW has transferred concepts from the Villa d'Este project to mass production. The 3.0 CSL released by BMW in 2022 inherits the concept of Hommage 3.0 CSL at the 2015 Villa d'Este exhibition. Adrian van Hooydonk also said that if the BMW Concept Touring Coupe is put into production in a very small batch, it should be faster than the development time of the 3.0 CSL.

No matter what the next production plan of BMW Concept Touring Coupe is, Superstile will be its indispensable partner. At the same time, based on the current BMW Z4, the two parties are also cooperating to build a new concept. It is expected that the concept sketch will be released by the end of the year.
